Hitting the Target - Building a Winning Digital Marketing Platform

Building a successful digital marketing strategy depends on having the right tools available. Join Veras and TransactionTree for a joint presentation on how to build campaigns that won't end up in your customer's spam folder, and instead drive both traffic and profits at the store.

Keynote: (R)evolution

In 2011, Gartner predicted that by 2017 the CMO would spend more than the CIO. Welcome to 2017—did the prediction come true and what does it mean for traditional IT professionals who’ve reported to the Finance Group for their entire career? How do you shift gears mid-stream to work and play well with the new boss? How does this shift the direction and focus of data and more importantly, strategy? Find out what happens when you mix big ideas with too much caffeine.

Control Your POS Estate - Understanding Logging & Monitoring

Now's the Time - Upgrading from Win/DSS

Many Veras customers struggle with successfully monitoring their POS environment and understanding and managing system logs. Integrating to Veras API's

Over the past several years, retailers have deployed mobile solutions in a hodgepodge manner, often in an attempt to respond to competitor deployments or executive pressures to appear current and modern. In this session, we'll survey the in-store mobility landscape and discuss how retailers can drive profitability and customer service through a more thoughtful, long-term mobile strategy, and how Veras Extend is growing to meet those needs.

Hitting the Target - Building a Winning Digital Marketing Platform

(Tentative)

Building a successful digital marketing strategy depends on having the right tools available. Join Veras and TransactionTree for a joint presentation on how to build campaigns that won't end up in your customer's spam folder, and instead drive both traffic and profits at the store.

For nearly a decade, most retailers have looked at payment processing as an area of cost and risk, first with PCI, then with EMV.  However, now that EMV and related secure technologies are widely implemented, retailers can begin to look at payment technologies as business drivers.  Join Veras and Cayan for a joint presentation on how modern payment technologies such as Cayan Genius can help make frictionless omnichannel processing a reality, and see the variety of ways that mobile payment devices can help engage customers and capture sales.

Enterprise Omnichannel Inventory with Veras Locate

This session will be used to outline the proposed structure and processes for creating a formal user group, including nomination of a customer chairperson, discussion of communications methods, feedback and development prioritization processes, and a lead-in to next year's VerasOne.

Does your business struggle with providing real-time inventory for omnichannel order fulfillment? Do your stores struggle with managing back room or offsite storage? Get an overview of Veras Locate, the location-based inventory tool that's already in use as an omnichannel fulfillment tool, and is growing into a multi-purpose real-time enterprise inventory Swiss Army knife.

Activating the POS as a Revenue Generator

For our Win/DSS customers, this session is focused on the unique benefits and special considerations when upgrading from Win/DSS. Get tips for cost-justifying your upgrade and laying the groundwork for making the transition to a modern omnichannel POS as smooth as possible.

Join us for a grand tour of the array of tools in Veras CheckOut (made more powerful by Veras Activate) to drive sales and customer engagement - from complex promotions and coupons to upselling prompts and survey links.

Join us for this informative session, with collected techniques from across our customer community for dealing with some of the most common (or, in some cases, the most painful) issues more efficiently.

Customer Success Story - Ship-To-Store Processing at Kirkland's

Veras has invested significant time and energy to build out a series of advanced programming interfaces (API's) to allow for non-Veras developers to integrate to and extend Veras functionality in a variety of ways.  This session will give an overview of the available API's as well as a sample of how to use the Swagger interactive documentation to understand and test the API's without writing a line of code.

For Kirkland's, the ability to offer an order online, ship to store omnichannel option is a competitive differentiator, allowing the potentially high cost of shipping larger merchandise direct to consumers to be avoided, enabling a more appealing value proposition for consumers. Learn how Kirkland's leveraged and extended the "FIGI" omnichannel capabilities in Veras CheckOut, including extending the functionality to Android handheld devices.

Over time, database performance at the store and at the central site can become degraded and in need of tuning.  Some customers may have rolled out with database configurations that were not optimally suited for their business.  In this session, you'll learn some of the lowest-hanging fruit to imrove your POS database efficiency, whether you use SQL Server or MySQL.

For customers with growth plans or those who currently experience performance bottlenecks, we will survey the options available to get optimal performance and scalability from your CheckOut installation, from memory settings to clustering capabilities.

National Stores initiall implemented JDA POS in 2009. Confronted with the pressing need to move to an EMV and P2PE-capable payment processing environment, NSI upgraded to Veras CheckOut 9.1 while moving to Acceo Tender Retail for payment processing. Learn about how NSI approached their upgrade process and their initial experiences running Veras CheckOut 9.1.
